Stephen Berigan was a member of a pioneer family which settled in Saline County. He was born August 17, 1894. near New Cambria, and was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Berigan died October 15, 1965, at St. John's Hospital from injuries suffered while helping unload grain at a farm near Solomon.
He was a farmer and a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors included the widow, Marguerite; two sons, S. James Berigan and Eddie Berigan; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Berkley and Mrs. Ralph Boor; a brother, John Berigan; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Burns; and 11 grandchildren.
