Born in 1833 in the Red River Settlement (now Manitoba)

Isadore (Jr) and Judith had fifteen children.

Isadore was Gabriel Dumont’s older brother.

Isadore was the 2nd to die in the Battle of Duck Lake. On March 26, 1885, Joe McKay, a North-West Mounted Police interpreter, shot and killed Isadore.

Moments earlier, McKay shot and killed the Cree headman, Assiyiwin.

These two deaths began the North-West Rebellion of the 1885 involving Duck Lake (March 26), Fish Creek (April 24), and Batoche (May 9-12).
