"Pioneer Basin Woman Succumbs at Age 98
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, March 6, for a pioneer Klamath County matron, Mrs. Lou McReynolds, who died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Crystel Cheyne, March 4. She was 98.

Mrs McReynolds was a native of Kahoka, Mo. , born Nov 17, 1866. She came by wagon train to The Dalles with her father and brothers and sisters when she was 15. She was a member of the Christian Church.

With her husband, Jacob A. mcReynolds and their family, she came to Klamath County in 1910 to settle between Merrill and Klamath Falls, on a ranch bought from J.G. Stevenson. Later they moved to ranch property in Langell Valley where they lived for many years. Mr. McReynolds died in 1921.

Survivors include on son, Eric McReynolds, Bonanza; five daughters, Mrs Zell Nielson, Los Angeles, mrs. Julia Kellum, Oakland, Mrs. Neva Grohs, Bonanza; Mrs. Selma Furber, Midland; Mrs. Crystel Cheyne, Klamath Falls; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Ward's Klamath Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
