French McCurtain, 77 passed away at Freeman Hospital in Joplin from complications of apoplexy and pneumonia. He was a retired stockman and farmer that had lived in Carthage for many years. At the time of his death he was living at 712 Florida in Joplin. His wife Anna had preceded him in death in 1941. He was the son of Isaac N. and Mary H. Parker McCurtain. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Knell Mortuary in Carthage and burial was in Park Cemetery next to his wife. Missouri Death Certificate
