Victoria (Christianson) Torr, the daughter of G. Theodore and Gudrun (Hannesson) Christianson was born March 15, 1917 in the rural Bantry, North Dakota home of her parents. She died at the age of 95 years on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Trinity Homes in Minot, North Dakota.

Victoria was raised in the home of her parents and attended country school near her home and completed her education at the Bantry High School. On October 12, 1935, she was united in marriage to Aaron William Torr Sr. at Towner, North Dakota. Following their marriage, the couple made their home on a ranch north of Bantry where they raised their family, farmed, ranched and had a dairy herd. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Victoria worked hand-in-hand with Aaron and also worked outside the home with McHenry County Social Services as a homecare provider. Aaron died April 29, 1993. In 1995, after 55 years on the ranch, Victoria moved to Minot, North Dakota.

Victoria quilted all her life, making many beautiful quilts which are lovingly cherished across the United States by family members. She was a wonderful cook and could put together a grand meal on very short notice, enjoyed playing cards and was a whiz at crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Melankton Lutheran Church of Upham, North Dakota.
