Adolph decided to build a Halfway House or Country Inn in County Line, Oconto, WI without telling his wife Anna Marie. Upstairs were rooms for travelers and downstairs was a saloon. It was located were Dumke Impliment was later. Adolph and Anna were living on a farm several miles away at the time. Later they moved into the Inn/Saloon.
Around 1917 they decided to move the Inn/Saloon to it's present location at 8865 Old Hwy 41 in Couunty Line, WI. This was done using horses and logs as rollers. They actually lived in the building while this was being done.
