Glenn E. Boydston

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home for Glenn E. Boydston, 76, 1308 W. 17th, who died Monday at a Topeka hospital after an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 23, 1904, near Hoyt, the son of Thomas Wesley and Chloe E. Gonsolley Boydston.

Mr. Boydston worked for the John Morrell packing plant until 1951 and later for Stoffle Meats. He retired in 1967. He also owned and operated Boydston Efficiencies rental properties 40 years before he retired in 1978.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Laymen's League, Senior Citizens Group No. 1, American Association of Retired Pwesons and American War Dads, all in Topeka.

He was married to Charlotte B. Burns June 5, 1926, at Topeka. She survives. A daughter, Beverly Boydston, died in 1930, and sons Marvin Boydston, died in 1931, and Merle G. Boydston, died in 1977.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Darleen N. DeVore, 121 Western; a brother, Ray E. Boydston, McPherson; three grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1700 W. 7th, 66606.
