PITTSBURG — Jimmy Joe Medley 57, of Arcadia, KS passed away April 6, 2013 at his home following an illness.

Jimmy Joe was born April 1, 1956 in Ft. Scott, KS the son of Ernest and Thelma (Buchanan) Medley.

He lived many of his years in the Wichita Andover area before moving back to this area in 1995.

On July 4, 2007 Jimmy married Enid Warrick in Arcadia, KS; she preceded him in death on May 8, 2012.

Jimmy worked as a Welder for Harper Trucks in Wichita, KS and later the Hicks Corporation in Pittsburg, KS.

In Jimmy's free time he enjoyed working on cars and welding; he will be most remembered by saving his cousin's life in a house fire.

Survivors include his children Carrie Medley of Arcadia, KS and James Medley of Arcadia, KS; his mother Thelma Medley of Arcadia, KS; siblings Dean Medley and wife Glenda of Benton, KS, Wanda Morris and husband Fred of Seattle, WA, Freda Uhl and husband Melford of Bonner Springs, KS, Alice Miller and husband Mark of Lansing, KS and Lois Nichols and husband Jim of Branson, MO; and one grandson Dylan Zimmerman of Arcadia, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother Carl Medley.

Per family wishes private burial will take place at a later date in Old Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, KS.

Cremation arrangements are by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.

Enid Medley Warnick
(13 February 1960 - 08 May 2012)

Enid Medley Warnick, 52, of Arcadia, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, in her home, of cancer.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mulberry, Kansas and a lifelong resident of the area.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Warnick of Weir, Kansas, a sister, MaryBeth Creamer Warnick, and a brother Gilbert Warnick, Jr. of Halfway, Missouri.

Enid leaves behind, six children, Dudley Taylor, Jr., Billy Metzer, Crystal Metzner and Angel Star, all of Fort Scott, Kansas, her father, Gilbert Warnick, Sr. of Weir, Kansas, a sister, Julie Warnick of Halfway, Missouri, two nieces, Darlenia Porterbin of Goodson, Missouri, and Lisa Creamer of Nevada, and a nephew Kyle Bishop of Halfway, Missouri. She is also survived by many cousins and great nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by her family, daily. May she finally rest in peace.

A Memorial Service for Enid Medley Warnick, will be on Thursday, May 17 in Pitts Chapel.
