She graduated from the University of Illinois and worked as a dietitian in Chicago before joining the Army in 1943 and married Kenneth in April. She worked at Hammond General Hospital in Modesto California un till November 1945.
After raising her family she became a professor at the University of Maryland where she earned her Masters and Doctors degrees. She became a professor at the NOVA Community College at Annandale where she created programs for food service and restaurant management.
She was registered in the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington Cemetery.
