Mrs. Christine Madson, 73, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Carl Peters will officiate and burial will be in Gjerpen Cemetery.

Mrs. Madson, nee Christine Griffin, was born June 12, 1900, in the Town of Cato, daughter of the late James and Anna Pederson Griffin. She attended the Madsen School.

She was married to Palmer Madson Oct. 22, 1919, at Gjerpen Church.

She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Joy Circle, Senior Citizens and the Altar Guild.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, James T. and Lawrence, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Myron (Vivian) Herzog, of Rt. 1, Reedsville, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Petri, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers and Mrs. Ellis (Jean) Eichmann, of Valders; two brothers, Edwin, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc and Victor, of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Nora) Mason, of Valders, Mrs. Juel (Janet) Madsen and Mrs. Fred (Irene) Schwalbe, of Manitowoc; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A son, Gordon, and a daughter, Grace, preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, after 4 p.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday and from noon at the church until the time of service.
