Lewis Matheson(sic), 76, of route 1, Manitowoc, lifelong resident of the county, died today at the farm home, five miles west of the city, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, the Rev. M.O. Dale officiating. Interment will be in the Gjerpen cemetery.
Mr. Matheson was born on the present homestead farm in 1866. He never married.
Survivors are two brothers, John, of California, and George of Windom, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. Augusta Anderson, of route 4, Manitowoc, Mrs. Amelia Bremer, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Lena Klusmeyer, of Waukesha, and Mrs. Louisa Smith of California.
The body may be viewed Saturday after 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
