Mabel I. Farquhar, 92, of Loudonville, died Wednesday afternoon, April 17, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, following an extended illness. Mabel was born Jan. 19, 1921 in Holmes County and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Enid Chloe (Heinrich) Sellers. She was a 1939 graduate of Loudonville High School and had lived in the Loudonville area all of her life. Mabel was the retired manager of the Loudon Bluffs Apartments and many years ago she had been the bookkeeper for Pete Weidner Pontiac of Loudonville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and although never an official member of Rotary Club, she attended thousands of Rotary events in the company of her husband Ron. She was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. She is survived by her husband, Ron F. Farquhar, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her 3 brothers: Meryl, Gene, and George Sellers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22, at 1:30 PM in First Baptist Church of Loudonville with Rev. John Fitch officiating. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.
