Susan Ella "Susie" (Williams) Harris was born on September 11, 1881 in Henry County, Missouri, the daughter of William Henry "Willie" Williams (1860–1941) and his wife Mary Jane (Addison) Williams (1852–1942).

She was married about 1902 to Creed Franklin Harris (1877-1960), and he was the son of Daniel Alexander Harris (ca 1836–1916) and Martha J ( -- ) Harris (ca 1843– ). [NOTE: The Death Certificate for Creed's father has him buried in Todd County, Kentucky, but the name of the cemetery isn't listed.] Susie's 1st 3 children were born in Todd County, Kentucky before the family moved to Montgomery County, Tennessee probably in early 1908.

Susie died of acute appendicitis on March 26, 1932 in Clarksville, Tennessee, and was buried on March 28th in Elkton, Todd County, Kentucky.
