Macon, GA- John Calhoun Green, 93, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013 in a local hospice facility. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at St. Andrew Christian Church with the Reverends John Hughey and Bill Tyre officiating. Burial will be private in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Andrew Christian Church, 6220 Thomaston Road, Macon, Georgia 31220 or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210
Mr. Green was born in Winnfield, LA to the late, Martha Ella Smith and James Madison Green. He was a retired supervisor from Macon Machine Shop, member of St. Andrew Christian Church and the American Rose Society. Mr. Green proudly served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was preceded in death by his son, Arthur Green.
