Woman Is Found Dead at Home
Mrs. Ada H. Spackman was found dead Wednesday evening in her home at 1810 Elm St. Although Mrs. Spackman had not been feeling well recently her condition was not known to have been serious, and her unexpected death came as a shock to her family and friends.
Mrs. Spackman who was born in Boone, N. C., had made her home in Butte since 1937. She was the widow of Amos Spackman, who died here in 1946.
Surviving relatives include her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dollis Hodges, and her grandson, D. C. Hodges, all of Sheridan, Mont., two brothers and a sister-in-law, Odell Green of Sonora, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Green of Sheridan; two brothers-in-law and three sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Muehleisen of Arcadia, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Cal Bumgarner of Newberg, Ore., and Mrs. Helen Armstrong of Azusa, Calif., grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Barney of Sacramento; nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Van Bumgarner of Butte. There are additional nephews and nieces living throughout the West.
The Sherman & Reed mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
