Born Pansy Geraldine King, on December 14th 1934 to Parents Edna Mae Woods King and Sherman James King. She legally changed her name to Geraldine Culbertson when she married the love of her life Richard Carroll Culbertson but she was known to her friends and family as Dean. She had 8 children Richard jr. Ronald, Mark, Linda, Cynthia,Terri,Julie and Sandra. She was mainly Native American with noted royal Choctaw lineage being a direct descendant of Chief Thomas Leflore the 3rd chief to lead a group of Choctaw Indians across the Trail of Tears and was a descendant of members of the Eastern band of Cherokee Indians, as well as being a direct descendant of Matoaka Powhatan (Rebecca Rolfe) AKA Pocahontas. She also had Cherokee Nation ties through the Crain family and some older now extinct tribes like the Attomowack Nation of Virginia. She also had German, Scottish, Norwegian and Israeli (Jewish) heritage but most notably her Mexican heritage that could be traced back through the Royal Sevier and the Royal Gonzales families all the way to Saint Francis himself! She was born and raised in Missouri but lived her adult life between Michigan and Florida where she was laid to rest. She was known as a strong independent woman once called Rocky for taking down a grown man over 6 foot tall with one swing, but she was a devoted Christian and loved her family with all her heart. She never remarried after loosing her husband in 1990 and slept on the sofa the rest of her life saying "She just couldn't stand to lay in their bed with out him there!" She was greatly loved and dearly missed!
