FIDELIS LUKINS DIES FOLLOWING EXTENDED ILLNESS
Fidelis A. Lukins, 81, who came to Santa Cruz from Washington in 1906, died in a local hospital Wednesday following an illness of a year.
After coming here Mr. Lukins operated a service station on River street for several years. The family home is 112 Ocean View avenue.
He was the husband of Lucy B. Lukins and father of Mabel Thompson of Santa Cruz, Marjorie Carpenter of Watsonville, Vera Welch of Washington, D. C., Evelyn Benoit of Oakland, Clare A. Lukins of Hayward. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Baptist church. and of the Golden Wedding club.
Services will be held at White's Chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. W. D. Armstrong and Rev. J. C. Colyar officiating.
Interment in Oakwood cemetery.
