Clifton Rodchester Chew Sr., was one in a million of God's angels whom He bestowed upon this earth to touch the lives of many who ventured in his path. Those who knew him will never forget his devoted and caring ways. He was a loving person filled with happiness, laughter and compassion for others.

The youngest of ten children and was affectionately known as "Puddin" by those who knew and loved him. He departed this life on January 18, 2002 in his home in Waldorf, Maryland.
As a child he attended public schools in Calvert County. He later worked for the Wasington Suburban Sanitary Commission as a laborer/heavy equipment operator for 25 years and retired in 1990.
As a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and brother he leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Wanda D. Chew, eight children: Diana Sewell, Patricia M. Chew, Patrick O. Chew, Patricia B. Johnson, Paul L. Chew Sr., DeAnna T. Chew, Angelea M. Edwards, and Clifton R. Chew, Jr., Mother-in-law Ms. Alberta Brooks, Four sisters Flossie Saunders, Martha Thomas, Betty Mackall and Dasiy Marie Chew, three sisters-in-law Ms. Nellie Chew, Carrie Chew and Keyma Beasley. Four brothers to proceed his death, Bernard, Joseph, Guy Edward, Donald Chew and one stepbrother George Carr. One brother-in-law Joseph Brooks III, and eighteen grandchildren.
