SHREVEPORT – A memorial service will be held for Mr. Sydney Adger, 75, of Shreveport, at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15 at the First Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Stanford Parnell will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel.
Mr. Adger, a lifelong resident of Shreveport, died Thursday Feb. 11, 1988, at Pierremont Heritage Manor after a lengthy illness. He was born in Belcher, La. Mr. Adger was retired as an accountant for Cities Service Oil Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Thrall of Camano Island, Wash.; two brothers, E. M. Adger, Jr. of Shreveport and John H. Adger of Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
