Hancock-Mrs. Virginia Romayne Ritz Dyer, 62, of Rt. 1, died unexpectedly at her home Friday afternoon. She was the widow of Harold Ross Dyer.
She was born in Fulton County, Pa.
She was a member of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church near Hancock. She was an elder in the church. She was a member of a Homemaker's Club in Prince Georges County, where she had resided for a number of years.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Jocelyn Bunn of Hancock; one half-sister, Mrs. Anna Mary Norris of Hancock; two half brothers, John Smith and Francis Smith, both of Hancock; one grandson.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Eric Faust officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home in Hancock today and Sunday 7-9 p.m.
