OBITUARY
Born December 26, 1941 in Winston-Salem, NC; and died April 19, 2013 in Chiefland, FL. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Hartwell, GA; in addition to being a member of Amvets Post 422 in Chiefland, FL, and the American Legion. Lester was most proud of his honorable service in our US Navy during Vietnam era. He enjoyed woodworking, tool sharpening, and life with his beloved wife. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Jane of Chiefland, FL; sister, Arlene Dillon of Spring Hill, FL; brother, Lindsay of Holiday, FL; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and two best Navy brothers, Dennis Moyse of Wellsboro, PA, and Bert Crawford of Santa Ana, CA. Lester was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford; and parents, Emery, and Thama. Service and inurnment at Florida National Cemetery to be announced at a later date.
