Reidsville– Sara Adams Chambers, 86, of 1304 North Woodleigh Circle, passed away on Monday February 4, 2013 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 6. 2013, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Chambers was born in Danielsville, Georgia to the late Homer Royal and Hettie Gunnells Adams. She was a member of First Congregational Christian Church. Sara was best known for her love of cooking and baking. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Adams, Rufus Adams and Bob Adams; sisters, Mary Chandler and Merle Dabbs.

Survivors include her husband, Carl E. Chambers; daughter, Karla McKinney and husband, Wakey; grandchildren, Ivan McKinney (Abby) and Adam McKinney (Vanessa); great grandchild, Wyatt McKinney, and sister, Hazel Freeman of Anderson, S. C.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:00, Wednesday afternoon. Those wishing to visit with Carl may do so at Avante Nursing Center.

In lieu of food, donations may be made to "In His Name Christian Service" at First Congregational Christian Church, 1863 Southpark Dr., Reidsville, N. C. 27320.
