Edna F. Gibbons Bargar

ZANESVILLE - Edna F. Gibbons Bargar, 79, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 surrounded by loved ones at the home of her son, Robert and Ella Gibbons.

Edna was born September 17, 1933 in Masontown, West Virginia to the late Robert and Mary E. (Tomlinson) Wolfe.

She enjoyed cooking and owned several businesses, including the Star Market, Jake's Sandwich Shop, McCall Chicken House and the Mayflower Restaurant with her first husband, Robert Gibbons, Sr. She also later worked at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl. Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.

She will be missed by her two sons, Robert (Ella) Gibbons Jr. and Darrell (Lynne) Gibbons; daughter, Sheryl (Larry) Potts; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and brother, Jonathon L. Wolfe all of Zanesville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Robert Gibbons, Sr. and her second husband, Bill Bargar.

You may call on the family, Friday, April 26, 2013 beginning at 12 p.m. with memorial service at 1 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle Street. Pastor Tim Alexander will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd NE Newark, OH 43055. Burrell Funeral Services is serving the family.
