SIOUX CITY | Sharon Marlene Paris, 70, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away at her residence on Monday, April 22, 2013.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, in Sioux City. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences can be made online at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Sharon was born November 4, 1942 to Harley Enfield and Uretta Faye Steward in Cherokee, Iowa. She attended Sioux City, Iowa schools. She married Earl LeRoy Fritz on March 22, 1959 in Morris, Minnesota. They later divorced. On August 1, 1964 she married Donald Harley Paris in Vancouver, Washington. Donald passed away on May 27, 1989 in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

Sharon was employed as a Sioux City Transit bus driver for 20 years. She was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 779. She retired in 2003 and moved to Havelock, North Carolina to live next door to her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Garlen Ballew. She moved back to Sioux City in July of 2012. She was baptized as a child in the Lutheran faith. Sharon was an avid reader and had an extensive book collection. She was the world's best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her four daughters, Brenda Allyn of Sioux City, Linda (Bob) Jones of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Debra Moriston, Sioux City, and Carla (Ronnie) Thornton of Hornick, Iowa, and her two sons, Harley (Lisa) Paris and Donald (Lindsay) Paris of Correctionville, Iowa, twenty three grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Sandra (Garlen) Ballew of Havelock, North Carolina, and two brothers, Richard (Maria) Enfield of Kaysville, Utah and Ronald (Benita) Oman of Chugiak, Alaska and a sister-in-law Joy Paris of Lincoln, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, a sister, Caroline Faye Oglesby, two great-grandchildren, Lucy Lynn Paris and Tristen Taylor Allyn and two nephews, Jeffery Ray Oglesby and Guy Stuart Stetson.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Allyn, Jeremy Bauer, Nathan Moriston, Mitchell Paris, Austin Barker, and Dustin Fuehrer.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Cori Allyn, Nick Moriston, Ben Paris, Aaron Paris, Brandon Paris, Cody Paris and a family friend, Todd Schlotman.
