Eva Blair

NEOSHO, Mo. – Eva Gladys Blair, 73, Neosho route 8, died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at a Neosho nursing home after a long illness.

Mrs. Blair was born Dec. 29, 1915, in Neosho. She lived in the Belfast community, west of Neosho, before moving to Joplin in 1966. She returned to Neosho in 1979. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ, Neosho, the Freeman Hospital Auxiliary, Joplin; the Boy Scout Council; the Welcome Wagon Club; the Joplin Chapter of the American Red Cross; and the Daughters of Union Veterans.

She married Lewis Jack Blair in November 1932 in the state of Kansas. He died in 1975.

Survivors include a son, Frank Blair, Joplin; three sisters, Dolly Ruth Bennett, Seneca, Willie Marguerite Forrester, Marionville, and Vera Lou Cornell, Neosho; three grandchildren, and there great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Don Deffenbaugh and Troy Risley, ministers, will officiate. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, west of Neosho.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lewis, Dale Wolgamott, Raymond Boyd, Paul Cornelison, Jack Smith and Troy Risley.
