Evelyn grew up in northeast Texas as a farm girl, riding horses, milking cows and caring for other animals and gardens, too. It was a wonderful life. After graduating from Business College, she married Jack Corzine on December 22, 1941 in Norfolk, Virginia. During their 70 year marriage they lived their life to the glory of God and travelled throughout North America, Asia, Europe and the Holy Land. These adventures were curtailed when Rev. Dr. Jack Corzine died November 11, 2011. She will now join him in their forever home in Heaven.
Evelyn was also preceded in death by sister, Joetta; brother, Gordon; brother, Wesley and granddaughter Julie. She is survived by sons, Jack (Linda) Corzine of Mary Esther, Florida; Scott (Suk) Corzine of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Chris (Christine) Corzine, Rene (Clay) Aldrich, Jeff (Tina) Corzine, Vicki (Jason) Cullison, Della (Tommy) Brakefield, and 13 great, great grandchildren.
Evelyn's passions were gardening, painting, writing, gospel singing and spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered as the sweet, considerate, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and pastor's wife she actually was. In all her activities, Evelyn devoted her life to the glory of God.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Evelyn's name to the First Presbyterian Church, 134 Beal Parkway S.W., Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548, or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be from 5-7pm, November 1, 2019 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road, and Ft Walton Beach, Florida. Services will be at 1:00 P.M., November 2, 2019 at the same location, Rev. Sharon Schuler officiating. Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Ft Walton Beach.
