Funeral for James A. Lane, 84, Rt. 1, Fortson, Ga., who died Tuesday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Williams after suffering declining health for some time, was at 11 a.m. Friday at the grave in Riverdale Cemetery.

Lane was a retired cabinet maker. He had lived here for 20 years.

Military Service: James A. Lane entered the service as a volunteer to serve in the Philippine Insurrection on September 23, 1899.

James A. Lane was discharged from his service in the Philippine Insurrection on March 19, 1901 in Presidio, California.
