Janis was born on October 9, 1946, n Toledo, Ohio, she was the youngest daughter of Roy Andrew Denman and Elma Acinth "Grant".
She was a secretary for Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corp. two years, retiring in 1978 due to disability.
Surviving are her sons, Michael and Jeffrey Smith, her brother, Jack W. (Dawn) Denman, her sister Marilyn (John) Molitoris
Interment will be, Monday, January 19, 1981 in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
