Maxine graduated from Holcomb High School. She was a homemaker and had worked at Western Uniform, Duckwall's & The Red Cross. She enjoyed country music, puzzles & her family activities. Maxine was a member of the Church Of The Brethren of Garden City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, step-daughter, Leona Rippey & brother, Gene Hankins.
Survivors include 2 sons, Dwayne & Vicky Moore of Wichita, Keith & Connie Moore of Wichita; 3 daughters, Patricia & Dan Hahn of Garden City, Donna & Ralph Perales of Garden City, Joyce & Larry Wigner of Liberal ; step-son, Zoy & Mary Moore of Tuttle, Oklahoma; 4 sisters, Peggy Flynn of Garden City, Marjorie Smith of Garden City, Shirley Talbert of Garden City, Sue & Jay Near of Garden City; brother, Joe Hankins of Holcomb; 18 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Church Of The Brethren, Garden City. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
Visitation hours are 5 to 8 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected].
