Rosary for Juana Q. Arguello, 95, of Slaton will be 7 p.m. tonight, Aug. 27, 2005, at Englunds Chapel. Resurrection Mass will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at St.Joseph Catholic Church with Father Cornelio Ramirez officiating. Interment will be at Slaton's Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.

She was born May 20, 1910 in Dr. Arroyo, Mexico. The family moved to Waelder in 1918. She married Aurelio Arguello Dec. 16, 1928 in Waelder. They moved to Slaton in 1940. Aurelio preceded her in death Sept. 6, 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Guadalupanas and Crusillistas. She was also preceded in death by four sons, Felix, Max, Tony and Abel; a grandson, Jose; and a granddaughter, Jasmine Marie.

Survivors include her two sons, Gene and David of Slaton; four daughters, Rachal Reyes and Nieves Arguello, both of Slaton, Mary Flores of Lubbock, and Irene Cardenas of Beaumont; sister, Loreta Ramirez of Baytown; 35 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
