Rosa F. Saunders, 96 of Roanoke passed away Tuesday January 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Saunders. She was a longtime member of Colonial Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Iva Maxey, a son, Joe Dudley (Patsy), her stepchildren, Robert L. Saunders Jr. (Eleanor), Galen Saunders (Lovetta) and Carolyn Robertson, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, for a total of five generations.
The family would like to thank South Roanoke Nursing Home for the quality care she received for the last three years.
