On January 8,1944 she was united in marriage to Cecil Sherwood Couch, and together they shared sixty-two years before his passing on August 27,2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Patty Pope; two brothers, Leland and Neil Poynter; two sister's Alma Deckard and Trena Hurt.
Dorothy is survived by a sister, Janice Gross and her husband Larry of Camdenton, Missouri, and a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relative's and friends.
She was born and raised in Laclede County, Missouri, after she and Cecil were married they made their home in the Dallas, Texas area. Throughout the years she was a devoted homemaker to her husband.
Dorothy had made her profession of belief in Christ, and followed the Baptist faith.
In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, shopping and watching television. Her family was very important to her especially her nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a loving Sister, Aunt and caring neighbor and friend, we celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
