Faye Erlene (Sanders) Sabol Hagen, age 92, of Deer River, MN, formerly of Clay County, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Deer River, MN.
Faye was born May 22, 1920 in Clay County, IL to Palmer and Marie (Dennis) Sanders. She married John J. Sabol and to this union 5 children were born. The family traveled all over the U.S.A., to Guam, and lived in France for 3 years while John was in the service. She later married Robert E. Hagen on May 4, 1974 and they lived in Rantoul, IL until his death on June 11, 2009. Faye then chose to move to Deer River, MN and live with her daughter. She always enjoyed coming back to Clay County to attend the Dennis & Deitz family reunion.
She is survived by three daughters: Joan Becklund of Deer River, MN, Mary Ring of Scottville, MI, and Clare Johns of Villa Park, IL; a sister: Marjorie Sanders Thompson; along with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Robert E. Hagen), former husband (John J. Sabol), daughter (Judith A. Jordan), and son (Joseph M. Sabol).
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville, IL. It will be at that time that Faye and her husband Robert will be interred in the cemetery.
