And her second son, Wesley, a fine young man, now in his twenties. Her only wish in her life was to watch him grow to be a man. And by Gods grace she was blessed with that wish. She was the first to recieve the first kidney and pancreas transplant years ago in Dallas Texas. But this illness wasn't the sickness that took her from her family.
Vicki was fighting cancer within a year before her death. It went into remission. And right after the holidays of 2004, she came down ill. And after being placed into the hospital, the doctors told her and her family that she had the worse and fastiest killing cancer known to medicine and mankind. Vicki was brave and was told she had only on few days to live. She was sent home to spend her final days (less then a week) with her loving parents, son and husband Bill Castle .
She was my friend, my cousin and I miss her sweet and kind heart and love of people and her love & spirit of the Lord. She was forty one years old at the time. She is missed and always remembered and loved.
Update: Sadly Vicki's husband Bill Castle took his life in May 2012. He was cremated and apart his ashes buried atop Vicki's grave, they now are together always.
