CARL SORENSON

Carl J. Sorenson, 76, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died Friday morning at the home of his son, Claude, following a coronary attack.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Gjerpen Evangelical Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Jerry E. Moe will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

He was born Aug. 10, 1882, at Denmark, son of the late Jens and Dorothea Nielsen Sorenson.

He was married Aug. 30, 1910, at Gjerpen Evangelical Lutheran Church. His wife preceded him in death Aug. 31, 1958.

He was engaged in farming for 68 years at Valders, and was a lifelong member of Gjerpen Evangelical Lutheran Church and Church Brotherhood.

Among survivors are a son, Claude of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Arlene Pech and Mrs. Harold Carstens of Manitowoc, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of service.
