August 7 1912, The Daily News, McKeesport PA:

AJ Sawders, 67 years old of 3040 Auberlie street, died at his home at 2 10 o'clock this morning of a complication of diseases. He has been a resident of the city for the past 15 years, coming here from Pittsburgh. He was a well-known steel roller at the Firth-Sterling works and had a host a friends. His widow, four sons, William, Percy, Shirley and Francis and five daughters, Mrs. Harry Dixon, Mrs. George Pitchford, Frederica, Violet and Daisy Sawders, all of this city, survive, as do nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at his late home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Reverend Strayer officiating. Interment will be made at a later hour at Grandview cemetery.

Death cert says his father was German and his mother was Irish.
