He was born on September 21, 1932 in Canfield, the son of Earl C. and Mary Catherine (Weaver) Winsper, Sr.
After attending North Lima School in, Earl served from 1953 to 1955 with the Army during the Korean War. He later would serve in the Army Reserves for many years. He worked for Republic Steel and later would work at Giant Eagle.
He enjoyed playing horseshoes and won many horseshoe tournaments around the United States.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two sisters, Genevive Haddle of Columbiana and Mildred Parsons of Boardman; his aunt and uncle Alice and William Colbert of North Lima; one niece, Helen Walker of Austintown; and two nephews, Richard Craig of New Middletown and Bobby Craig of Martin's Ferry.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, whom he married August 19, 1967 and who passed away June 27, 2011.
Military Honors provided by the Ellsworth VFW will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
