Mr. Mann was born in Spurlington, Ky., to John and Susan J. (Underwood) Mann. He married Ruth (Mooneyham) Brown of Ottawa in 1978.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ottawa, The Loyal Order of Moose #960, the Laborers Local #393, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed woodworking, deer hunting, and the outdoors.
Mr. Mann is survived by his wife and by four sons, Glenn M. (Janet) Mann St. of Ottawa; Edward L. (Fran) Mann of Ransom; Larry P. (Jackie) Mann of Morris and James Mann of Campbellsville, Ky.; by a step-daughter, Marcella (Jack) Teplitz of Peoria; and by eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Five sisters, Mary Starks, Jessie Scanlon, Bessie Mann, Tisha Johnson, and his twin sister Rose Simpson, six brothers, Herbert Mann, John Mann, Amsy Mann, James Mann, Phil Mann and George Mann; and two grandchildren, Eddie Mann and Terri Powell died previously.
