SPANISH FORK — Joseph Angus, 67, well known retired farmer of this vicinity, died at 10:15 Monday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. I. C. Nelson, after an illness of three months from a complication of trouble.
He was born at Spanish Fork, Nov. 16, 1869, and had always lived here. He was a sucessful farmer until he retired from active labor in 1921. He married Caroline Pace in the Manti L. D. S. Temple March 2, 1892. She preceded him in death Feb. 7, 1928. Mr. Angus was employed quite a number of years by the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company as a beet driller.
He is survived by four daughters and one son, Mrs. Byrl Snell, Huntington Park, California; Mrs. Leal Evans, Warrensburg, Missouri; Frank Angus, Riverside, California; Mrs. Grace Angus Nelson and Mrs. Rowena Ferguson, Spanish Fork; four grandchildren, six brothers and one sister. Henry and Wilford Angus, Spanish Fork; John Angus, Myton, Utah; James Angus, Roosevelt; George Angus, Provo; Robert Angus, .Jerome, Idaho and Mrs. Jane Banks, Bancroft, Idaho.
Friends may call at the Claudin Funeral Home until Friday morning and at the home of his daugher, Mrs. I. C, Nelson, 196 South First West Street, prior to the services, which will be conducted in the Second Ward L. D. S. Chapel by Bishop H. Eugene Hughes. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, under the direction Claudin Funeral Home.
