Lauren is the beloved daughter of Bill and Kathryn and dearest little sister of Jake Szeflinski.
Lauren and Jake were tragically killed by a 78-year-old man convicted of a DUI. He is now currently serving an eight-year term in jail.
The crash led the state Department of Transportation to install a barrier in the I-43 median in both northern Milwaukee and southern Ozaukee counties.
