Constantine Franks, raised in Bellingham

Constantine "Gus" Franks of 402 S. State St. died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1993, at his Bellevue residence. He was 62.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. George Diamant Officiating.
Mr. Franks was born July 1, 1931, to James and Coula Franks in Bellingham. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1948 and spent three years in the U.S. Coast Guard on the cutter North Wind during the Korean War. He also attended Western Washington University for two years.
Mr. Franks owned and operated four Super 24 Stores until his retirement. After retiring, he and his two sons owned and operated a Cadillac dealership in Palm Springs, Calif.
Survivors include sons John Franks and David Franks, both of Palm Springs; daughters Lisa Averill of San Jose, Calif., and Linda Deymaz of Little Roc, Ark.; brothers Bill Franks of Bellingham and John Franks of Bellevue; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 510 Sunset Drive, Bellingham, WA 98225.
