Mr. Bick was on the United Methodist Church Board in Farnam as well as the Farm Bureau, Farnam Senior Center, American Legion Post 288 of Farnam and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8146 of Farnam. His hobbies included woodworking and making metal miniature replicas of tractors and farm machinery. He was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Farnam.
Survivors include his wife of Farnam; four daughters, Marianne (Gil) Kindsfater and Karla (John) Lemon, all of Kearney, Diane (Dallas) Cobb of McCook and Susan (Cory) Dekker of Centennial, Colo.; a sister, Delphine (Keith) Anthony of Lexington; 13 grandchildren, Monica, Mike and Melanie Kindsfater of Kearney, Molly Kindsfater of Lincoln, Julie Cobb of Kearney, Jason (Jodi) Cobb of Lincoln, Kendra Cobb of McCook, Eileen, Janelle, Christopher and David Dekker of Centennial, Colo., Andrew and Tommy Lemon of Kearney; and two nephews, Scott (Jo) Anthony of Sacramento, Calif., and Tom (Tina) Anthony of Chandler, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Esther.
Memorials are suggested to the Farnam Senior Center, United Methodist Church or donor's choice.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Farnam with the Revs. Dennis "Buck" Linton-Hendricks and Don Johnston officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cem with military rites.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Blase Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.
