George Francis Johnson, son of Owen and Charlotta Johnson, was born March 27, 1883, in Jones County, Iowa, and departed this life May 12, 1964, in Worland, Wyoming, at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 15 days.

In childhood he moved with his parents to Frontier County Nebraska where he grew to young manhood.

January 3, 1901, George was united in marriage to Sylvia Lorada Brott at Stockville, Nebraska. After a honeymoon in Cherry County, George homesteaded a place west of Ingham. Later buying a farm south of Farnam where they lived until retiring because of ill health.

Born to this union were Francis, Marion, Walter, Maude (Plourd), Viola (Lehman), Edward, Edna (Clymore), Norene (Zink), Lewis, and George B.

The last six and half years were spent in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Clymore, at Worland, Wyoming.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia, and two sons, Edward and Marion: three brothers and two sisters.

He will be missed by his four sons, and four daughters, 45 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, a sister Grace and five brothers; Edward, Sylvester, Ervin, Arthur, and Owen.

Funeral services were held May 16, 1964, in the Farnam Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Donald Green officiating.

Mrs. Charles Pollard, Mrs. Charles Davis, and Mr. and Mrs. Truman Barrett sang, accompanied by Gwen Barrett.

Pallbearers were: Clarence Oberg, Fred Johnson, Jake Ernest, Anton Kotschwar, A. J. Jorgensen and Raymond Hansen.

Interment was the Farnam Cemetery.
