Raymond Lesley Smith, 83, died at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital November 19.
Raymond was born to David and Helen Mock Smith March 16, 1902 near Zanesville, Ohio. He came from Ohio in 1909 to the Farnam area. He was married to Doris Fitch June 9, 1926 at Farnam. He farmed in the Farnam area until his retirement in 1966, then moved to Gothenburg.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of Gothenburg; one daughter, Ardyce (Mrs. Harold) Bick of Farnam; one sister, Lena (Mrs. Cecil) Hardegree of Seminole, Florida; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents; one brother; one daughter, Beryl Banks; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 22, 1985 at the United Methodist Church with Rev. James McChesney and Rev. Robert Wigert officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cem.
