Julia McMichael Thomas, 47, formerly of Farnam. died Thursday at her home in Georgetown, Texas. She was born March 25, 1941 at Farnam to Richard and Ora Clement McMichael.
She graduated from Farnam High School in 1958 and then attended business school in North Platte. She married LeRoy Thomas on Oct. 22, 1960 at Farnam. They lived in Kearney from 1960 to 1979 when they moved to Texas. She had been employed by the Goodyear Company at Kearney and in Texas.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy of Georgetown; two sons, Troy and his wife, Mary, of Georgetown and Marty of Washington; three daughters, Cindy of Kearney, Debbie of Lincoln and Charity at home; her parents; her grandmother, Fern Clement of Gothenburg; a brother, Meryl McMichael of Gothenburg; a sister, Janet Steurwald of Farnam; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Farnam with the Rev. Charles Leypoldt officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.
