Born on Drum Point Farm near Hurlock. Died at Bonnie Blink, Maryland Masonic Home. Divorced from Harriet I. Duvall and Josephine Izzo. USMC as a very young man including a term in the presidential guard and in middle age including war in the South Pacific; also in the Maryland Militia and a short time (weeks) in the army. As an adult he lived primarily in Baltimore County; later, shorter periods in Dorchester County and in Florida. He was a contractor; dabbled in politics, was associated with various organizations, and served a term as a district governor of Rotary. He was the second oldest of 11 children, several of whom survived him, along with his third wife, three children, six grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
