87 year old McLeansboro resident, Kenneth Carl Myers, died at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, May 8th at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. Along with his brothers, he owned and operated Myers Lime Company until his retirement. He was a long time member of McLeansboro First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include six grandchildren; Andy Ellis of Shilo, Il., Jody Ellis, Jerri Nice and Terrie Irvin of McLeansboro and Christie Stover of Abilene, Kansas, ten great-grandchildren, and four sisters-in-law, Erma Hook of Dahlgren, Betty Henson, Delilah Millenbine and Imogene Myers, all of McLeansboro.

Funeral services for Kenneth C. Myers were 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at the McLeansboro First General Baptist Church with burial in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.

Visitation was from 6 til 9 Wednesday evening, May 11 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro and then 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. The Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Eula Millenbine Myers; parents, Andrew "Andy" & Oma Myers; three brothers Cecil "Pete" Myers, Willie Myers, and Allie W. Myers two sisters, Inez Nation & Ethel Myers; and two infant great grandchildren
