Services were held Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Rhoda Wolfberg, 73, 1218 E Eckman St, South Bend, who died in her home Friday at 7:40 pm after an illness of six months. Rabbi Elliott Rosenstock officiated at Temple Beth-El in South Bend. Burial was in Rosenhill Cemetery.

Mrs Wolfberg was born Aug 10, 1899, in Louisville, Ky, to Simon and Sarah Baron.

On June 3, 1924, she was married to Louis Wolfberg, who survives; with two daughters, Mrs Eleanor Smith of South Bend and Mrs Joanne fuller of El Cajon, Calif; a son, Stephen, of Boston; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs Leo S Baron and Mrs Herman Davidson, both of Louisville.

Mrs Wolfberg was an active partner in Wolfberg’s Department Store here for many years.

She was a member of Temple Beth-El, a past president of Temple Beth-El Sisterhood, a former chairman of the Women’s Division of the Jewish Welfare Drive and a Memorial Hospital volunteer.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Jewish Appeal.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Forest G Hay and Son Funeral Homes.
