Mrs. Jas. Atkinson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. O. Bloyd, 216 3rd St., on Wednesday, Oct. 20th, 1920, after an illness of three weeks of typhoid fever.
Sarah E. Baker was born near Quincy, Ills., on Feb. 4th, 1864, and departed this life at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 16 days.
She was married to Jas. Atkinson, March 1st, 1884, at Exeter, Ills. To this union were born eight children, all living.
Mrs. Atkinson's home was at Moorcroft, Wyo., and she came here several weeks ago to care for her daughter, Beryl who was staying with Mrs. Bloyd and who was seriously sick with typhoid fever when she herself was strickeen with the disease.
The Atkinson family were former Fairbury residents, moving to Wyoming in 1914.
Besides the husband the following children are living, Ira of Moorcroft, Wyo., Robert of Fairbury, Harold of Adams, Nebr., Mrs. Theodore Smith of Moorcroft, Wyo., Mrs. E. O. Bloyd of Fairbury, and Ercell, Henry and Beryl at home. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. G. W. McKinney of Ocont (sic), Nebr., who was with her at the time of her death and Mrs. Katherine Vannier of Winchester, Ills.
The funeral was held at the Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 by Rev. Wyrick and burial in the Fairbury cemetery.
