Grandma....Frances Mary Young; you are my Rock and will always be my heart & soul. You are the sweetest and most loving person I will ever know. All of us here today are blessed to have been touched by an Angel. You loved your family and friends every step in your walk of life. As the center of your family you lived to keep us united and together for holidays and special occasions. You are a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Sister and will be truly missed.
As a tribute to my Grandma I would like you all to understand the strong loving bond my brother and I have with her. She gave us every ounce of her love from the day we took our first breath on earth, until she took her last breath in our arms as she entered the gates of Heaven. Whenever I would leave home for a period of time, she would kiss and hug me and then cry as we waived goodbye. As children our Grandma spent every day with us and was a major influence in our lives. She taught us how to love, to laugh, and to have fun. She is a very religious person who worships Jesus Christ and prays for her family and friends every day. She loved life unconditionally and inspired me to love myself and others in this world.
Although I stand here before you with a broken heart and with profound pain, my wish is for all of us to celebrate her amazing life. Our Lord Jesus has called and received his Angel and we have all gained a protector. I long for the day when I will see her at the crossroads of Heaven where I will embrace her in my arms again. I am uncertain what the future holds, but I am certain when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for my Grandma and Jesus art with me. Grandma, your love is eternal and your life will light our way home. In your own loving words "God bless you honey!"
